April 17 & 18, 2015
Rochester, NY

Impact Earth, Inc., in collaboration with the Student Environmental League (SEAL) from the Rochester Institute of Technology, was contracted by the inaugural 2015 Fast Forward Film Festival in Rochester, NY. Together we provided zero-waste planning, day of event services, and landfill waste diversion. The event was held on April 17 & 18, utilizing both the Little Theatre and the George Eastman Museum facilities. Only the gala held at the George Eastman Museum on Saturday night was set up to provide zero-waste services.

The "Green Team" consisted of staff and volunteers from Impact Earth, SEAL, and Max's Catering staff. We were responsible for monitoring the two zero-waste stations throughout the event. One zero-waste station was set up as a front of house patron "exhibit style" collection area. The second station was set up behind the scenes in the catering "staff only" area.

The "Green Team" assisted both event patrons and the contracted catering staff with their disposal choices and provided educational information regarding recycling and composting options throughout the duration of the event.

Fast Forward Film Festival Generated Over 367LBS. of Waste Materials. Impact Earth diverted up to 98% of waste from the landfill.
